Meet Jade, our transport of the week!
Jade was found as a stray in Florida and was put into the Miami Dade County Animal Shelter. She was abandoned and malnourished to the point that she has lost several of her teeth and is being treated for a skin condition.
Thanks to Mayte’s Rescue, whose goal is to rescue abused dogs and dogs who have been neglected or lost their owner, Jade has been saved from death row. However, she is still not herself because she really wants a good loving home.
The R.A.C.E. transport team has been wonderful and so loving in helping Jade get from Florida to sunny California to live the good life. She has traveled almost 3,000 miles with 27 amazing volunteers who have all taken great care of her.
R.A.C.E. (Ran’s Animal Care Express) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), that has been set up to help displaced animals find new homes and to assist in organizing and funding the transport to get them there. They help aide with various veterinary/medical needs and are funded through the efforts of the team and by Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation pet charity fund.
Everyone that Jade has spent time with over the last few weeks in her rescues and during her travels across the country has said how incredibly sweet, lovable, and playful she is. Now, Jade deserves her happy ending and needs a forever home.
Jade is up for adoption and is looking for her new family. If you are interested in adopting Jade, you can contact Mayte’s rescue, http://maytesrescue.com/ and to learn more about R.A.C.E. transport you can go here, https://www.facebook.com/RACE4Ran/
