I received an email alert that a transport was needed through my area and was able to sign up for one of the legs.
Were there any memorable moments from this transport?
This was my first transport and all the other volunteers I interacted with were great! Gizmo was just the sweetest boy and I know that this will help make his life a bit less stressful.
What could have made this transport better?
There was a gap in the transport legs that I noticed so the coordinator had to scramble to get someone last minute.
Tell us about your passenger/s (behavior, demeanor, etc)?
Gizmo was so sweet. He just let you pick him up to get in and out of the crate in the car and was very interested in affection. I’m sure he would’ve sat in my lap during the drive if he had been given the option, haha.
Why did you take this transport, what compelled you to help?
I just want to make dog’s lives better and if that means a little bit of gas money and time, then that’s what I’ll do. We don’t deserve dogs.
