Josie was a very sweet girl but was weak and frail from her years as a puppy machine. Five drivers collaborated to get her from central Tennessee to central Ohio. She was fairly listless on the trip but she did remember how, and why, to wag her tail as we all fussed over her. Sadly, two days after she arrived at her foster home she was doing quite badly. After rushing her to the vet, it was discovered that her spleen and other organs were covered with tumors. The Pointer Rescue Association board agreed that Josie should be euthanized. Everyone involved with the transport was heartbroken but thankful that her last days were surrounded by love and caring.
