Doobert.com and Rescue Transport USA Volunteers Drive Rescue over 800 Miles
Effort, Pennsylvania – This past week, volunteers saved a two-year-old dog from euthanasia by driving her to safety in Effort, PA.
Volunteers in Newnan, GA saved Loretta in March. At the time, she was unhealthy and needed time in isolation to heal. Her wounds healed, but her fear of humans still needed work. Once her health improved, adopters walked by her time and again since adopters typically don’t desire black, quiet dogs. Unfortunately, her extended time in the shelter almost cost her her life, as the shelter placed her on the euthanization list.
Loretta’s luck turned when volunteers from Red Rock Rescue in Effort, PA agreed to take her in. Red Rock Rescue assists pet owners who undergo crises with referrals and resources. Volunteers from Rescue Transport USA planned the over 850 mile trip from Georgia to Pennsylvania. Rescue Transport USA helps animals move from high kill shelters to safety.
Thanks to these amazing volunteers, Loretta has a new shot at life at Red Rock Rescue.
