A very kind volunteer transporter happened to be heading south from the east coast to visit family. She agreed to meet in Savannah Georgia and pick up the girls. Two of our employees made the trek from our location to Savannah to meet them.
Were there any memorable moments from this transport?
The kittens loved the hotel in the historic district of Savannah, and thoroughly enjoyed living it up!
What could have made this transport better?
Everything went off great, and we are so happy the girls are in their new home in Connecticut.
Tell us about your passenger/s (behavior, demeanor, etc)?
The kittens rode in luxury with hammocks in their cage. Their favorite part was most definitely the hotel!
Why did you take this transport, what compelled you to help?
We are a 501c3 shelter in south MS and we regularly transport animals up the east coast. These 2 girls were supposed to go up a few weeks early on transport but were left behind because another kitten in their foster group got ringworm. After waiting and getting cleared, they were more than ready to go to their new home!
