Simon & Bim were traveling from Casselberry, FL to Williston, VT with Rescue Transport USA. The rescue was posted on Doobert.com to fill the last legs of the transport, so I signed up for Elkton, MD to Cherry Hill, NJ.
Were there any memorable moments from this transport?
It was nice to meet new transporters at the beginning and end of the trip — I hope to have a chance to drive for this rescue again!
What could have made this transport better?
I lucked out with this drive because summer Sunday back-from-the-beach traffic can be terrible on I-95 North through Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey. This trip was early enough in the day that traffic wasn’t an issue.
Tell us about your passenger/s (behavior, demeanor, etc)?
Simon & Bim were perfect passengers — quiet, friendly … and very handsome. (Simon is the one with the little heart-shaped nose.)
Why did you take this transport, what compelled you to help?
It’s always fun to help kitties in need, and this was a pretty easy trip — just about an hour each way, and a nice way to spend a Sunday morning.

They were the sweetest little babies. The transport ran a little ahead of schedule which was nice. I always feel the sooner we can get them to the last destination the better. The ladies that I picked them up from and dropped them off to were both nice.
