Tell us how the transport came together?
It was my first transport and I was nervous. My husband came along for the ride and I was very glad he came and so wasn’t Davey, all 50 lbs of him!!
Were there any memorable moments from this transport?
All went well.
What could have made this transport better?
The trip couldn’t have gone any better. We managed to stay on time and both picking up and dropping off went smoothly, thanks to Montyne and Rick.
Tell us about your passenger/s (behavior, demeanor, etc)?
This transport had 4 dogs: 3 puppies and 1 adult, Davey. The puppies were adorable hound mixes and Davey was a big, beautiful hound mix. He was very nervous when we picked him up and had to be coaxed out of Mylene’s upon arrival in Atlanta. We had to entice him with treats to get in my car for the next leg but thanks to my husband who sat in the back with him and loved on him all the way to Greensboro, he settled right down and slept for most of the drive. He woke up happy and bounded out of my car and seemed happy to meet Rick. A quick potty break and all 4 headed off, one step closer to PA and hopefully forever homes.
Why did you take this transport, what compelled you to help?
I took this transport because it worked with our schedule and aside from the typical and horrible Atlanta traffic it was a beautiful day and we were both so happy to do our part to get these precious dogs to their forever homes.
