We drove three fellas on the final U.S. leg in Michigan to meet their Canadian rescuers who are placing them in their furever homes. Zeus, Alfred and Kahuna started in the South and endured two full days of travel and an overnight stay to become Canucks.
Our leg turned exciting when a tornado warning sounded, and a guy called to us that the twister was four miles away during our parking lot doggie exchange. We learned the trio made it into Canada just before the bridge was closed due to the gusts of wind.
