Transferring Cases

Managing too many cases in your animal shelter can lead to inefficiency or worse, burnout. The best way to avoid these is by requesting some help from other organizations so you can help save more animals together!

With that in mind, you can transfer active cases from your organization to another through the Companion case Management feature. Here’s how to get started.

Step 1: On your organization dashboard, click on the ‘Companion Case Management’ tab then click on cases. 

Step 2: Click the ‘Case Name’ of the case that you want to transfer to. 

Step 3: Click ‘Transfer case’.

Keep in mind that you need to be a part of a coalition to transfer cases and you can only transfer cases to organizations within that same coalition to join an existing coalition.

Step 4: Select your coalition and the organization you want to transfer the case to 

Step 5: Select the animals that are involved in the case you’re transferring.

Step 6: Choose the outcome once the transfer has been done from the drop-down menu.

Step 7: You can either transfer the case as closed and archived status or open status by toggling the button. 

Step 8: Select the information you want to transfer to the other organization regarding this case.

Step 9: Tick the checkbox to agree with Doobert’s Privacy Policy. 

Step 10: Click ‘Transfer’.

That’s it! Coalitions are made to help each other and you’ll be seeing the results immediately.
