When you foster an animal with organizations that we support on Doobert, timely communication is vital for the health and safety of the animals in your care. By providing your mobile number and opting into our messaging program, you ensure that we can support you every step of the way.
What to Expect
By agreeing to receive text messages, you are opting into communications regarding:
- Foster Animal Updates: Essential questions or updates regarding the animals in your care.
- Medical & Appointments: Reminders for vaccinations, vet check-ups, and medical support.
- Adoption Inquiries: Coordinating meet-and-greets with potential adopters to help your foster find their forever home.
- General Support: Non-medical guidance and troubleshooting for your fostering experience.
Our Privacy Promise
We respect your data as much as we respect our animals.
- No Selling or Sharing: We do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Third-Party Data Protection: No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
- Secure Use: Your number is used strictly for internal communication related to your volunteer activities and the animals you are fostering.
Your Control & Choices
- Frequency: You will only receive messages when necessary. Generally, this averages about 4 messages per month, though frequency may vary based on the specific needs of your foster animal.
- Opt-Out: You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to our number. After you send “STOP,” we will send you one final SMS to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
- Help: If you need assistance, reply “HELP” to any message or contact us at support@doobert.com.
The Fine Print
- Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
